RPG Maker 2k/2k3 games are running slow on my 3DS. Can anyone help me?

After installing Homebrew following a guide (link:https://3ds.hacks.guide/) and Easy RPG on my 3DS, installed some games like The Way and Dreamland R on said console. However, said games are running slow (lagging visuals and audio). Could anyone explain me what I should do?

Edit: I’m using the CIA version of EasyRPG on my 3ds.

Edit 2: Both games are running fine in the menu and in the invetory, the sound however stil lags.

My first guess would be to try other games, or “less demanding” (less complex) games to see if they perform better.
