What about XP support?

Are there any plans to support RMXP in the future?

RMXP is better than 2000, 2003 an VX. It can be extended with scripts and has many scripts developed. It supports MIDI as well. Pokémon Essentials is only supported on RMXP.

But the worst problem is the poor resolution. The games don’t look good on screens that aren’t CRT. The only solution is playing on Android devices because they have small screen, but it doesn’t support Android.

I also saw RPG Toolkit, but it is discontinued.

Hello, there is a friend project called mkxp that is the equivalent for XP, VX and VX Ace. There is also a relevant fork called mkxp-z that support games like Pokémon Essentials out of the box. And based on this project, there is an app on Google Play called JoiPlay, however it’s ad-supported.

Would be great if this is supported in the future. Playing RMXP on 3DS

RPG Maker 2000/2003 and RPG Maker XP/VX/VX Ace are very different internally, it’s basically a completely different program.

So, to add RPG Maker XP support, one needs to write completely different code. Very little code can be shared between RPG Maker 2000/2003 interpreter and RPG Maker XP interpreter. So, it makes no sense to combine RPG Maker XP and 2000/2003 code into the same program: since the code is so different, it’s better to develop them separately.

And separately they are developed. EasyRPG is for RPG Maker 2000/2003, and mkxp is for RPG Maker XP/VX/VX Ace.

You should ask mkxp developers for this, not EasyRPG developers.
