Infinite loop in バトル ランタイム / Battle Runtime (2005)

Behavior in stock RPG_RT: After defeating the final boss, the Maou, the game starts a post-fight cutscene event in the same map, followed by the credits.

Behavior in EasyRPG (latest continuous build): After defeating the Maou, the game starts the pre-fight cutscene event again, then starts the battle again (but it ends instantly); this continues to loop indefinitely.

I’ve included a ZIP containing the game and EasyRPG. To replicate:

  1. Load file 6 and advance text until the battle starts.
  2. Win the battle. To do this, have Carol and Daisy use 魔力を込める a total of ten times, then have Alex use 烈光封魔王. You’ll need to use ためる to build up the required MP (5 for 魔力を込める, 100 for 烈光封魔王).
